Joseph Hansell and Asjadi Hone were appointed as Receivers and Managers (Receivers) of the STAX. Group on 24 June 2026. 

We understand that many customers will have questions about existing orders and what this appointment means for them. This FAQ has been prepared to help you understand the current situation and what to expect going forward.

The Receivers' immediate priority is to assess the Group's inventory, supply chain and outstanding customer orders in order to determine the best path forward. We appreciate your patience during this time and will continue to provide updates as matters progress.

Will operations be impacted?
The Receivers have taken control of the STAX Group and are undertaking an urgent assessment of the business and its operations to determine the best way forward. 

To minimise disruption while this assessment is undertaken, the Pitt Street and Liverpool Westfield stores are currently closed, and the online store is not accepting new orders.

The Receivers are actively working with key suppliers, logistics providers and other stakeholders to explore whether and how trading can resume. While we understand this uncertainty is frustrating, we are not in a position to provide a timeframe at this stage.

We are committed to keeping customers informed and will provide further updates as soon as more information becomes available.

Orders placed prior to appointment of Receivers and Managers (pre 24 June 2026)

“Pre-Sale” orders
Many customers placed orders for products advertised as "pre-sale". These products were not held in stock by STAX at the time of purchase as they were expected to be sourced from overseas suppliers and shipped to Australia upon arrival. 

The ability to fulfil these orders depends on the cooperation of several parties within the supply chain, including clothing suppliers, freight forwarders, and the third-party logistics (3PL) provider.Each of these parties is owed money by the STAX Group, which has complicated the fulfilment process. 

The Receivers are actively engaging with all relevant parties to determine whether supply can be unlocked and these orders fulfilled. We understand this is a stressful and frustrating situation, and we sincerely appreciate your patience while this is being worked through.

“Sale” and other orders 
For all other orders placed before 24 June 2026 that have not yet been received, fulfilment is similarly dependent on reaching a resolution with the 3PL provider, who is also owed money by the STAX Group.

Orders placed on 24 or 25 June 2026
The Receivers are reviewing all orders placed on 24 and 25 June 2026, following their appointment. They are working with the Group's suppliers to determine whether these pre-sale orders can still be fulfilled. If fulfilment is not possible, the Receivers are also engaging with the payment gateway provider to explore refund options for eligible customers. 

We understand this situation is frustrating and disappointing and we sincerely apologise for the uncertainty. Further updates will be provided as soon as more information becomes available, and we thank you for your patience while we work through this process.

Returns
Regrettably, products that have already been delivered cannot be returned or exchanged at this time. Customers who have received a faulty product and paid by credit card, including purchases made using gift cards, may wish to contact their card issuer or payment provider directly to discuss the options available to them.

Gift Cards and Credit Notes
Unfortunately, gift cards and credit notes cannot be honoured at this time. We recognise how disappointing this will be for affected customers and we are sorry for the impact this has. Should this position change, we will provide updates promptly.

Purchase of new gift card
No, no new gift cards will be issued.
